The Gateway Centre Short-listed for The Mersey Partnership Awards
The Gateway Conference Centre has been nominated for the Excellence in Business Tourism award.
The Awards, which are sponsored by Merseytravel, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Northwest Regional Development Agency, Liverpool Culture Company and ACC Liverpool, recognise and reward excellence in tourism in the city.
Nigel Byrne, Centre Manager at The Gateway Conference Centre, said: “We are delighted to have been nominated for this year’s TMP Tourism Awards. It is a testament to our team of trained and accredited staff, which is one of the Gateway’s most outstanding assets. We’ve doubled the number of events held at the Gateway this year and are welcoming some interesting companies to the city in 2008.
The Awards will be presented at a glittering gathering in the new BT Convention Centre at Kings Dock on Wednesday 28th May 2008 and will attract a range of private businesses and public sector organisations in the tourism sector.
