The Gateway Centre
Venue:
The Gateway Centre was officially opened by the HRH Duke of Gloucester on the 2nd October 2002.
The original project was funded by the Dfes & New Opportunities Fund, the Gateway concept was to provide access to the community to ICT training, advice and assessments, and balance those activities with income from commercial activity. By providing a high quality conference and meeting space, the Gateway set out to be a model for sustainability. And that’s exactly what it did…
Accessibilty:
The Gateway Centre is a fully accessible venue with level access to all ground floor Conference Suites and a full sized lift with voice control to all first floor suites. The main entrance to the centre has a gentle slope from the doors to the reception desk. The main front doors are fully automatic and the reception area has a hearing loop system. Adaptive Toilets are situated on the first and ground floors. All internal signage are tactile and all staff have had disability awareness training.

Our team of trained and accredited staff is one of the Gateway’s most outstanding assets. From your initial enquiry to meeting and greeting guests and technical support you can be assured you will receive the warmest welcome and on-hand assistance before, during and after your event.
Parking:
The Gateway Centre has free disabled parking on site and also short stay spaces for drop off and deliveries. The Gateway has Priority Car parking available at The Liner Hotel which is just 2 minutes walk from the Centre. Spaces should be booked in advance.
